Boardroom Strategist
The Boardroom Strategist is a newsletter that accompanies each of the 10 yearly Boardroom Intelligence releases. It provides an overview of the studies, paper, presentations and articles prepared by Canada’s leading experts for this series. This newsletter is not intended to merely repeat, abridge or restate the material, but rather its purpose is to address, in a condensed, easily accessible, and time-saving manner, key issues in boardroom decision-making and to highlight critical points raised.
Corporate Liability
The Corporate Liability journal, first published in 1993, is devoted to corporate liability under criminal, regulatory and other statute law. With recent legislation assigning greater personal responsibility to corporate directors, among other issues, this area of the law has come under far greater scrutiny. This journal assesses current developments in the law as it relates to corporate, directors’ and officers’ liability. Articles cover current and relevant cases as well as business and legal trends, define areas of risk and offer analysis and advice.
Corporate Governance
With submissions from Canada’s top lawyers and auditors, the Corporate Governance journal, which was luanched in 2000, reports on the latest trends arising in this key area of business so that you can forge strong governance practices within your organization and stay on top of all strategic developments. This journal examines issues pertaining to director selection, board structure and composition, effective use of committees, securities regulation and public disclosure, shareholder activism and litigation, board and CEO assessment, corporate compliance, corporate investigations, methods of compensation to acquire and retain directors, directors’ duties and liabilities and CEO succession. This will enable you to track new research findings and emerging trends and, through case study examples, assess how world-leading organisations are successfully addressing corporate governance issues. The journal’s brief is wide ranging but the concerns are to integrate the challenges of people, profitability, planet and posterity under the umbrella of responsible corporate governance.
Corporate Risk
This intent of the Corporate Risk journal is to examine the many risks facing businesses, as well as their directors, officers and managers. Change is the greatest contributor to increased risk exposure of corporations. Reengineering, downsizing, regulatory shifts, the complexity of the global market and technological advances are creating new and emerging risks.
The journal, first published in 2000, focuses on the governance of all types, sizes and forms of corporate entity, whatever their cultural under-pinning, wherever they are incorporated or operate, and with diverse ownership or membership structures. The journal is committed to facilitating knowledge, discussion and debate to improve the management of corporate risks.
