Colin Wiltshire is Managing Partner of Wiltshire Consulting Inc. Mr. Wiltshire has over 20 years experience advising on design and implementation of management practices that optimally balance achievement of objectives and management of risk. He has been instrumental in developing risk-related methodologies for clients, including assessments of significant risks, organizational risk profiles, control and risk self-assessments and "frameworks" for organizational-wide management of risk.

Public Health Agency of Canada

 

Lianne Vardy is currently a Director with the Centre for Health Promotion in the Public Health Agency of Canada. She has held Director level program positions in Hepatitis C and Adult Literacy and has over 20 years of experience with the Federal Government. During this time she has managed G & C programs in excess of 30m dollars, and has worked in partnership with both provincial and territorial governments as well as NGOs.

 


Mark Dokis
Aboriginal Business Canada, Industry Canada

Mark Dokis, is a Program Services Consultant with Aboriginal Business Canada a branch of Industry Canada and is a member of the Dokis First Nation. Mr. Dokis has been employed in the field of Aboriginal community, business and economic development since 1985 with the Federal and Ontario Public Service. As a Program Consultant, he has been active in the development, delivery, administration, design and evaluation of Aboriginal programs and services. Since 2001 he has been active in the development of an Integrated Risk Management Framework, a Project Risk Framework, a Risk Based Audit Framework, Results-based Management and Accountability Framework. Theses activities have led to the implementation of a program wide framework for assessing project risk, monitoring of program contributions, a program-wide risk management process, as well as the establishment of a program wide logic model with key performance results and reporting strategies at Aboriginal Business Canada.

 


Donna Mitchell
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

 

Donna Mitchell joined Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada as Executive Director, Rural and Co-operatives Secretariats on November 1, 2001. Ms. Mitchell began her public service career in 1990 with Human Resources Development Canada as Director General, Public Affairs, followed in 1994 by a move to Western Economic Diversification Canada (WED) as Assistant Deputy Minister for the British Columbia Region. Prior to joining the federal government, Ms. Mitchell enjoyed a 20 year career in the Canadian air transport sector with Canadian Pacific Airlines, Canadian Airlines International and Wardair. Her experience there included responsibility for government relations, airline planning, and international affairs. She spent a year as a consultant on the Ministerial Task Force on International Air Policy in 1989-90. In 2000 Ms. Mitchell took a leave of absence to work as Vice-President, Passenger Marketing with Roots Air in Toronto.

 


Dr. Judith Bray
Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)

 

Dr. Judy Bray is the Assistant Director for two of the Institutes of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) - the Institute of Infection and Immunity and the Institute of Cancer Research. During the five years Judy has been with CIHR she has worked extensively on partnership development with organizations from both the public and private sector in order to bring together stakeholders sharing a common interest in health research. Many of these partnerships have changed the way health research is conducted in Canada through the creation of strong research teams and national networks.

 


Anne Valois
The Canadians Council for the Arts

 

Anne Valois is currently the Head of the Dance Section at the Canada Council for the Arts, Canada's national arts funding agency. Prior to this role at the Canada Council Anne directed the Strategic Initiatives Unit and headed up the Touring Office of the Council. A former dancer Anne has a 25 year history of working in the Arts as a producer and programmer; as well as in company management, marketing and international touring. She initiated and programmed the first international festival of Dance in Canada (FIND) in 1985. Internationally Anne worked as the administrative director of the London Dance Umbrella and as an apprentice manager with Artservices International Paris. At the Canada Council she has been instrumental in initiating and leveraging multiple forums, initiatives, discussions and partnership projects to review and further the scope of the immediate preoccupations of the field. Anne is one of Canada's highly respected arts administrators who continues to contribute to the creative development of Dance in Canada.

 


Eric J. Alain
Eperformance Inc.

Mr. Alain is the managing Director of Eperformance Inc. His 26 year career in government automation is highlighted by last seven years which he has spent developing an international practice in the area of Enterprise Grants Management (EGM). In conjunction with Government program professionals, he has participated in the development of standards and better practices in this specialty area. Mr. Alain has focused his efforts to assist government organizations in the design and application of methodologies and technologies aimed at streamlining the grants & contributions program delivery process through automation. His experience has lead to in-depth involvement with many government standards, e-Gov initiatives, and better practices that impact grant and funding programs at all levels of government. Mr. Alain is well researched and has broad, practical experience in the implementation of Government compliant EGM technology solutions, from feasibility through to the operations phase.
