Simon Brown is Executive Vice President and a Principal Consultant for PMMS Group North America (the global procurement consulting and training organization). He has worked in the UK, USA and Canada in roles as diverse as head of procurement, IT project manager, head of logistics and sales director. This range of experience in different industrial sectors, coupled with the familiarity of working within a global context, has enabled him to gain a meaningful insight into how different organizations approach procurement and the challenges of a changing landscape. This is reflected in his practical, adaptable and results-orientated style. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Ontario Ministry of Government Services

 

Dan Bussotti has worked for the Ontario Provincial Government for over 25 years, most of which he has spent in the IT procurement department. He is currently a Senior Policy Advisor for the Ministry of Government Services, Supply Chain Management. Some of his projects include; drivers license and health card, license plate operations, mobile workstations and in-car video, photo radar, electronic surveillance and establishing multi-year contracts on behalf of the Ontario Government.

 

Jason Morsink
KPMG LLP

 

Jason Morsink is a leader in KPMG’s Advisory Services Practice, focusing on global sourcing. He has over 17 years of senior management experience in private sector corporations across Canada, the U.S. and the UK. He has held executive positions in IT, sales & marketing and business development. Prior to joining KPMG, he was a founding partner in a global sourcing firm that specialized in providing outsourced offshore engineering, GIS and IT services to North American companies. Working in conjunction with several of India’s biggest service providers, he spent considerable time in India and Asia. His hands-on experience as a senior executive has given him a deep understanding of business development, market development, deal structuring and outsourcing.

 

Kurt Ritcey
Deloitte & Touche LLP

 

Kurt Ritcey is a Partner in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s consulting group and leads the Sourcing and Procurement practice. He specializes in improving supply chain operations with a specific focus on strategic sourcing, procurement transformation and supplier relationship management. His clients include leading Canadian and global organizations in the manufacturing, consumer business and energy sectors. He has recently delivered improvement projects in procurement transformation, strategic sourcing, e-procurement and demand management.

 

John Sypnowich
Emergis Inc.

 

John Sypnowich is Vice-President and General Counsel at Emergis Inc. He previously occupied a number of legal positions with the BCE Group, most recently as Assistant General Counsel, Bell Canada. He has considerable experience in the corporate, commercial and information technology fields. Emergis is an IT leader in Canada that focuses on the health and financial sectors. It develops and manages solutions that automate transactions and the exchange of information to increase the process efficiency and quality of service of its clients.

 

Fred Lawlor
Fairmont Raffles Hotels International Inc.

 

Fred Lawlor is Vice President, Procurement for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International Inc (FRHI). He has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and in his current position, he is responsible for developing the new global procurement infrastructure for FRHI. He was previously Vice President, Procurement for FRHI, he was the Vice President and General Manager of Avendra, the leading procurement services company in North America serving hospitality and related sectors.

 

Anthony J. Swift
Ontario Power Generation, Inc.

 

Anthony (Tony) J. Swift, is a Senior Specialist, Strategic Planning at Ontario Power Generation, Inc. He earned an MBA in operations management and also holds a professional registration with the Province of Ontario as an Industrial Engineering Technologist. He has worked for Bell Canada, Duke Energy and TransAlta Corporation in both field operations and corporate management overseeing multi-million dollar long-term spending and inventory management.

Steve Foster is Director, Strategic Sourcing, Bank of Nova Scotia. Scotiabank is one of North America's premier financial institutions with over $10B in revenues and over 50,000 employees. With over 20 years management experience, primarily in Information Technology, he is responsible for managing sourcing initiatives covering a wide spectrum of services and products, including outsourcing and international sourcing.

 

Ian Kyer
Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP

 

Ian Kyer is a partner at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP’s Toronto office where he practices corporate/commercial law with an emphasis on serving information technology companies. He is on the steering committee of the firm’s national Technology and Intellectual Property practice group and is director of the Toronto office’s Information and Technology practice group. He advises buyers and sellers of technology on acquisitions, licensing, outsourcing and technology-related legal disputes.
