Mr. Alan Kennedy is a founding member of Gibson Kennedy & Company, a management consulting firm offering strategy counsel and competitive research services. Alan's consulting practice focuses exclusively on helping senior management with project planning and strategy communication. Alan has extensive experience facilitating group discussions and preparing issues for presentation to Boards and Management. Alan has been teaching courses on Strategic Management for the Schulich School of Business since 1992. Over 2500 executives have attended his very popular 3 day course, Strategic Management, offered three times a year at the Schulich Executive Education Centre and twice a year by Saint Mary's University's Professional Development Division. During his corporate career, Alan served as Senior Vice President & General Counsel for both Oxford Development Group and Campeau Corporation. Alan is a Certified Management Consultant and a member of the Honor Roll of the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Ontario.

Shawn Kauth is currently the Director of Business Planning for the Individual Insurance & Investments business unit at Sun Life Financial Canada. Shawn's responsibilities include strategic, financial, and initiative planning as well as leadership for the organizations portfolio management office. Prior to his business planning role, Shawn held several senior project management positions focussing on mergers and acquisitions for Sun Life Financial, Clarica Life Insurance, and Bank of Montreal. Shawn's also been actively involved in project management practice development for both Sun Life and Clarica. Shawn holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a certi- fied Project Management Professional (PMP).

His experience includes both the upstream and downstream segments with particular emphasis on supply & trading, operations planning & logistics, sales, acquisitions and strategic planning.

As Manager of the Ontario Economics and Business Cluster's IT Project Management Office, Kevin has focused on the value strategic project management brings to EBC's client ministries, project management staff and senior executives. He is known for securing, growing and mentoring highly skilled staff to the advantage of both the individual and the organization. His most recent experiences are in Project Management, IT Service Management and Infrastructure Services Management with the EBC. In over 23 years of service within the Justice Sector in Ontario he provided 12 years of executive leadership to IT Strategic Planning and previously directed or managed Information Management Services, Executive Information Systems, IT Security Services, Program and Estimates functions, financial consulting and value for money and external audit engagements via his professional designation as a Certified General Accountant.

 Hadi Mahabadi Xerox Research Centre of Canada

Hadi Mahabadi joined Xerox in 1981 and has held a variety of managerial positions, including manager, materials design and synthesis lab; manager, materials design and integration lab and XRCC associate centre manager. Mahabadi has led teams that developed materials for many Xerox product platforms, including toner resins and carrier coating materials for LAKES, iGen3, and DocuTech100-120; and solid ink components for Phaser printers and Saturn platforms. He has been instrumental in the development of Emulsion Aggregation, the new generation of toner technology that was introduced into the market in 2001. In 1997, Mahabadi received the Xerox President's Award, the corporation's highest honor for individual achievement, and in 1998, was the recipient Xerox's Chester F. Carlson Award for the highest number of US patents. Mr. Mahabadi holds over 60 US patents.

Jim Ilkay is President of EdgeBuilder, Inc., a Mississauga based firm that provides technology solutions to the North American Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industries. Founded in 2001, EdgeBuilder is used on construction projects ranging in size from repair and alterations work to mega-projects over $1billion in value. Although the company's applications have won awards, EdgeBuilder's key strength is in actively managing the process of rolling out technology to project teams. Prior to helping launch EdgeBuilder, Jim had 18 years' experience in property development, construction finance and, most recently, as President of a commercial construction firm in Austin, Texas. Throughout his career, Jim has consistently applied technology solutions to improve efficiency and gain a competitive advantage.

Brian Sirbovan is Vice President in Stantec's Toronto Office and is Corporate Practice Area Leader of Stantec's Program and Project Management group, which specializes in providing project planning, implementation, management and control solutions for clients undertaking major capital projects in the ICI sector. As a member of Stantec's senior management team, Brian is responsible for building Stantec's Program and Project Management business in North America. In addition, he routinely provides his project management expertise in a consulting role with clients providing advice on project organizational structure, project definition and implementation planning, project delivery strategies and project management oversight, while continuing to oversee several client relationships. |
