Aon Reed Stenhouse Inc.
Mr. Henderson, Vice President of Aon Reed Stenhouse Inc., oversees all operations in London and Southwestern Ontario, including risk management and insurance brokerage practices. Before joining Aon in August 1999, Mr. Henderson was the Principal of Henderson Consulting, a risk and insurance consulting firm located in Toronto and London, Ontario. Mr. Henderson's business and insurance career began in 1970. During his 30-year career, he has enjoyed experiences as an insurance broker, underwriter, consultant, construction manager and owner of a large retail business. Mr. Henderson is also a Senior Consultant for Risk Management Consultants of Canada Limited (RMCCL), which is affiliated with Aon Reed Stenhouse Inc.

Aon Reed Stenhouse Inc. is Canada's leading insurance brokerage and risk management company with offices in 26 Canadian cities. It is a member of Chicago-based Aon Corporation, an insurance services holding company comprised of a family of insurance brokerage, consulting and insurance underwriting companies over 115 countries.

3M Canada Company
Mr. Bax, Insurance Manager, 3M Canada Company, administers the property and liability insurance programs for the company. In addition, he also has responsibility for the placement and claims handling for the liability, property, and ocean marine program for 3M global operations, excluding the United States. As part of his long-term career with 3M Canada, Mr. Bax has enjoyed careers in accounting, systems analysis, financial planning and acquisitions. In 1986 Mr. Bax took on his latest career of insurance, and in 1993 was made part of the 3M Global Insurance Team. While being involved in the revamping of the global programs and setting of 3M global standards for insurance, Mr. Bax is a strong advocate of risk management, and is a team member of various risk management teams in 3M.

Established in 1951, 3M Canada Company is a leading manufacturing company with sales in excess of one billion dollars and employs more than 2,000 Canadians. 3M Canada Company is the 6th largest 3M subsidiary. 3M Company, headquartered in St. Paul, Minnesota, produces more than 50,000 innovative products and has operations in more than 60 countries.

 


James Tabi, Ph.D.
Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC)
Dr. James Tabi completed his Ph.D. and Masters degrees in Economics at the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He most recently obtained his MBA in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier Business School, Waterloo. He holds the Director, Risk management position with Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). Since joining CIBC in 1989, Dr. Tabi has introduced innovative and effective risk management tools to the Bank. These tools include defalcation models (internal fraud), Behaviour scoring and Credit Scoring Models into the consumer credit operations. Moreover, Dr. Tabi won a year 2000 CIPA E-Commerce award for creating a state-of-the-art on-line credit decisioning in partnership with Loblaw Group of Companies. His work with small business credit decisioning is evident in CIBC small business offer, in partnership with Business Depot, called BizSmart. He has spoken at international conferences in Miami, San Francisco and Toronto on risk related issues and balance score cards. Dr. Tabi has also published in international journals.

 


Lynn Oldfield
AIG Canada
Lynn Oldfield is Vice President of Risk Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions at AIG Canada. Her responsibilities include the marketing, negotiation and placement of alternative risk finance products including tailored corporate client solutions. With a career in the Canadian insurance industry spanning more than 17 years, her experience includes underwriting commercial property & casualty and financial lines of insurance, managing professional and management liability business, and responsibility for risk management broker and client relations. She is a seminal speaker for the Insurance Institute of Ontario and a participant at industry and non-industry events discussing risk management, insurance, M&As and specialty liability exposures.
