Evandro F. Braz is a Partner in the Engineering & Construction practice within the Management Consulting Services of PricewaterhouseCoopers. His specialization is in the engineering and construction industry and he has expertise in the areas of project management, engineering and construction, cost and schedule controls, financial planning, logistic management, training, benchmarking and the business application of quantitative techniques. Evandro's more than 25 years in consulting includes both domestic and international assignments and he has performed and directed many interdisciplinary engagements. Recent relevant experience includes: creating industry-led e-markets, both B2B and B2G exchanges, for the construction industry requiring procurement, technology and operations workstreams; developing and implementing a database for an Internet supplier of building materials leading to an electronic catalog of construction products; and benchmarking B2B vendors and construction e-business software packages for the construction industry. He also conducts preemptive analyses of construction plans, organization, schedules, risks, management systems and procedures, budgets and cash flow, contract administration, procurement, change orders and claims, engineering interfaces, cost accumulation, labour productivity, reporting and performance monitoring controls for a variety of projects.

Mark Blumkin is a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers' Engineering and Construction Consulting Practice. He has over 18 years of experience in the construction industry in transportation design, project management and value engineering as well as over 12 years in management consulting where he has focused on process improvement, re-engineering, organizational re-design and system implementation for owners of major construction programs. More recently Mark has concentrated on e-business strategy and implementation for owners, contractors and Internet companies in the design and construction marketplace. He has lectured on various topics in the industry including e-business in construction, financial controls and construction auditing.

Howard M. Wise
Goodmans LLP

 

Howard M. Wise is a Partner at Goodmans LLP specializing in the areas of construction law and commercial litigation. He regularly acts for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers and lenders in large construction disputes, including construction lien claims, contract claims and negligence claims. Howard works with clients in the construction industry who use the Internet or online commerce in their business. He understands the business and legal issues faced by clients in this rapidly changing field. He is a Past Chair of the Construction Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association of Ontario and is currently Vice-Chair of the Construction Law Subsection of the Canadian Bar Association - National.

Bruce Fleming

Bruce Fleming is to Vice-President and CIO at EllisDon Construction Ltd., one of North America's largest construction companies. He is currently heading up the EDgeBuilder initiative, an online project management system providing interactive document and workflow management for all project team members and support personnel. This initiative also includes formalizing the company's knowledge management practices and electronically integrating its systems, departments and profit centres. A Professional Engineer with 18 years of experience, he has worked on a wide variety of major national and international construction projects.

Kevin Wallace is the Director of Operations for the Industrial Division of SNC-Lavalin Engineers & Constructors, a leading engineering and construction company with offices in Canada and 30 other countries. Over the past 10 years he has held senior project and construction management roles for local and international heavy industrial and consumer product projects. Globally, SLE&C procures $2-3 billion of services on an annual basis and has actively worked to develop web-based procurement and management tools.

David V. Kozicz
Aecon Group Inc.
David Kozicz is the Director of e-commerce for Aecon Group Inc., Canada's largest publicly traded construction company. He is involved in both the selection and implementation of e-commerce tools to support project delivery and execution. Aecon is currently rolling out a company-wide standard collaboration tool with several marquee clients. David is also involved in the selection and implementation of tools that enable productivity improvements in back-office functions. He has extensive experience in the construction industry where he has helped clients to work more effectively with their supply-chain partners.
