Bruce Miller, e-Records Strategy and Business Development Executive, IBM Corp., is widely regarded as the inventor of modern electronic recordkeeping software. Mr. Miller co-founded Provenance Systems in 1989, where he pioneered ForeMost, the world's first commercial electronic recordkeeping software, now owned by Documentum Corp. In 1997, he achieved the world's first e-Records software certification against the U.S. DoD 5015.2 standard and has since presided over several successful 5015.2 certifications. Bruce led the joint ARMA/Defense Department initiative to advance the U.S. DoD 5015.2 standard. He founded Tarian Software in 1999, where he developed the world's first e-Records software engine for business software. That year he received ARMA Canada's National Capital Region's Ted Ferrier Award of Excellence for his contribution to the field of records management. Tarian was the first e-Records technology in the world to be certified against the revised 5015.2 June 2002 standard. In November 2002, Tarian was acquired by IBM. Mr. Miller is the recipient of the prestigious 2003 Emmett Leahy Award, considered the highest international recognition given to professionals in the field of information and records management. He is currently writing a book entitled "Implementing Electronic Recordkeeping - A Methodology for Success", scheduled for publication in 2006.

Angela Foran, Manager of Information Management for the Office of Energy Efficiency at Natural Resources Canada, is President of the Records Management Institute. In 2002, she became Information Holdings Officer at Health Canada and was responsible for records management implementation for both paper and electronic environments. During the RMI mandate 2003-2005, she handled the portfolio of Program Director. In September 2004, Angela was given the responsibility of Records Manager for the Inquiry Liaison Office for the Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship and Advertising Activities at PWGSC. |

Jeff Braybrook is an Information Management professional representing LNW Consulting. Jeff has more than 30 years experience in Information Technology and was CGI's business development representative for RDIMS for more than five years. Prior to this he worked in consulting and business development roles for LGS and Xerox on document management projects for the private and public sectors. Jeff has worked with many departments and with central agencies (Treasury Board, PWGSC, Library and Archives) to help ensure the success of their RDIMS initiatives. He has gained extensive knowledge and experience with business drivers, requirements and key success factors for Government of Canada Information Management projects.

 Don Macleod Archives of Ontario

Don Macleod is an Information Management Policy Advisor with the Archives of Ontario. Since 1990, his work has centred on development of information management policy and tools for the Ontario Public Service. He has also served recently as Metadata Projects Lead in the Office of the Chief Corporate Technologist, supporting development of an OPS Enterprise Metadata Strategy. He is currently corporate lead for whole-of-government Records/Document Management System (R/DMS) initiatives. Mr. Macleod is past general editor of Archivaria, an internationally regarded journal of archival science. He has presented at various conferences on EDRMS and other information management topics and published extensively on topics related to archives and history of technology.

 Jean Guy Morais Environment Canada

Jean Guy Morais is Acting Director, Enterprise Information Management Branch at Environment Canada. Jean Guy has done extensive work in design and business rules definition for document management systems as well as the integration of taxonomy and metadata in existing information systems. He previously worked in Change management, in Strategic Planning and in Activity Based Costing.

 Debra Power Public Works and Government Services Canada

Debra Power has ten years experience in the field of Information Management (IM) including knowledge and experience with managing documents in a complex heterogeneous environment. Debra specializes in the analysis of business process requirements and mapping requirements within information management systems in Federal Government departments. Ms. Power has a proven track record of providing project implementation services and delivering solutions that meet the client's needs.
Currently Ms. Power is leading the Business Solutions development with the RDIMS project at PWGSC. Key initiatives ongoing are Executive Correspondence Management, Issues and Agenda Management, and Case Management focusing on E-Records.

For the last six years, Ms. Christine Walker has held the position of Senior Director, Finance and Informatics for OSFI. Ms. Walker is accountable for information management and technology strategy, plans and operations and has been championing EDS within OSFI. OSFI first introduced EMS five years ago, using it as a base for the case management system. Since then, the organization has implemented EMS office-wide and workflow for the supervision sector. Use continues to evolve. Ms. Walker has worked in the finance and IM/IT area for the past 20 years. She worked in various private sector industries before joining the government in 1998. |
