Carmine Porco has over 18 years of experience in the areas of Internet consulting, IT management and software development. His strengths include employee self-service, e-learning, customer care and Internet commerce primarily in the financial and retail sector. Carmine joined Prescient Digital Media from Cisco Systems, where he played a key role in helping Cisco achieve its mandate of stimulating and accelerating the adoption of Internet applications and helping customers succeed in the Internet economy. Prior to joining Cisco, Mr. Porco has held positions with Deloitte Consulting, Quadravision Communications and Canada Life Assurance. He is a frequent speaker on Workforce Optimization, Portals and e-Learning throughout North America and Europe.

Robert Hagley started working for the City of Burlington as the Web Editor in October 2001, and, in November 2005, became the Supervisor of Creative Services. Building upon his work experience as a graphic designer, Webmaster, and freelance writer/photographer, he manages a staff of graphic and web designers producing websites, print and signage material for the City of Burlington.

 


Pamela Youngberg
Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP)

 

Pamela Youngberg is a marketing and corporate communications specialist for OTIP (Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan). The OTIP communications team creates and executes diversified bilingual strategies and programs that reach over 180,000 clients province wide. Her 4+ years experience includes publications, project management, Web content, development of sales and marketing collateral, and ownership of OTIP's corporate standards. Pamela has also played a key role in rebranding the organization, redeveloping OTIP's Internet as well as leading a team to create OTIP Pulse - a new Intranet for OTIP's 200+ employees. Pamela is a member of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) and holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

 


Eli Singer
Spencer Francey Peters

 

Eli Singer is a Strategist, Marketing & Communications at Spencer Francey Peters. Eli develops integrated marketing strategies leveraging the Internet, new media and online communities. An accomplished strategist, Eli participated in writing the business bestseller The Power of the 2x2 Matrix, recognized by the Globe and Mail as the top Canadian authored business title of 2004. Eli is a strategy lead with SFP, working internally to develop new initiatives and with clients including Allstream, BMW and Critical Path. In 2005 he spoke to viral marketing, blogging and podcasting at the 2005 Canadian Marketing Association national convention. Prior to joining SFP, Eli consulted for Fortune 500 firms including Fujitsu, General Motors and Hewlett-Packard, as well as a variety of start-ups. He writes a regular technology column for The Torontoist blog, and is a contributor to Slashdot.

 


Lynda G. Marshall, Teranet Inc.

 

Lynda Marshall has over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and marketing communications. This experience, acquired in the fields of telecommunications, finance and professional services, has taught her that the fundamentals of good marketing communications don't change however much technology may. Her mandate at Teranet Inc., an e-services company, is to help develop communications strategies that contribute to Teranet's business objectives while maintaining the integrity of the Teranet brand and its sub-brands and increasing the awareness of these brands through advertising and corporate communications initiatives.

 


Geoff Le Quelenec
Suncor Energy Inc.

 

Geoff Le Quelenec, of Suncor Energy Inc., has over 10 years experience designing, developing and deploying web sites and applications.

In the past, he has provided service to a diverse range of industries including legal, real estate, media and fine arts as well as the oil and gas sector.

He is currently a Business Analyst for Suncor's eBusiness group helping to implement the movement of most Suncor business processes to SAP.

 


Julian Mills
Prescient Digital Media

Julian has over 15 years of experience in marketing, management, business development, publishing and writing. Julian's areas of expertise include developing strategic management and marketing plans, leading the execution of marketing campaigns and management initiatives, and developing and delivering high value communication material. Julian's client work includes consulting for PepsiCo, the Ontario Ministry of Finance and AADAC.

Julian joined Prescient from Agfa, a Belgian-based company that is one of the world's leading developers of imaging solutions. Julian held a number of roles with Agfa, starting as product manager for an innovative digital printing solution before becoming Director, Business Development and Marketing. He developed a number of highly successful integrated marketing campaigns in Canada, and was a key contributor to Agfa's North American and Worldwide marcom teams. Prior to joining Agfa, Julian was editor of PrintAction, a business-to-business publication for Canada's graphic arts industry. During his time with PrintAction, Julian won a prestigious national magazine award for technical writing and transformed the publication into a leading information source for a highly competitive industry.
